摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce current ratings of two sets of diode rectifier circuits to half and thereby reduce the size and the cost by building, in the device, a smoothing capacitor and an inverter section, to which outputs of the two sets of diode rectifier circuits are parallelly connected. SOLUTION: In a six-phase/twelve-phase rectifier-type inverter device, two sets of diode rectifying circuits 1, 2 parallelly connected to a source of three- phase AC voltage, a smoothing capacitor 3 and an inverter section 4, to each of which the outputs of the two sets of diode rectifying circuits are parallelly connected, and a six-phase/twelve-phase rectifying and switching means which switches the connection of the two sets of diode rectifying circuits 1, 2 to the source of three-phase AC voltage are installed. Therefore, this device can handle both six-phase and twelve-phase rectifications. In the case of twelve-phase rectification, a current rating of the two sets of diode rectifying circuits can be reduced to half and thereby the size and the cost can be reduced.
