<p>A hermetically sealed Stirling engine driven generator system comprising a rotating generator (96, 98, 102) with cooling tubes (100), self lubricated main bearings (78), PTFE coated expansion piston (12) and compression piston (14), and PTFE coated crank rod bearings (72), allows for an oil free system. A brushless self starting system (90, 92) is also used as an alternator. A simple working gas pressure control system uses the generator housing (102) and the crankcase (10) as a reservoir for working gas with a single valve (52) working in conjunction with a small compressor (38) to regulate the pressure of the working gas.</p> |
