Mixing hopper assembly for animal feed

An assembly mixes animal foodstuffs and consist of an open hopper with a loading platform and side-walls, surrounding an upright helical mixer blade which raises animal foodstuffs from the load platform to the upper zone. One sidewall incorporates an inlet through which animal feed ingredients are introduced to the hopper. The ingredients are presented to the sidewall opening via e.g. a loading chute with a mechanical aid such as a supplementary worm conveyer. The side loading chute forms pref. part of a telescopic arm which extends a cutter blade into a pile of suitable fodder.
