<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for forming an image with ink in an ink tank or a cartridge in which variation due difference of lots, e.g. ink tanks, or color print error among individual image forming apparatus is corrected, and to provide an image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1 incorporating an ink cartridge 5 filled with fluid ink, the ink cartridge 5 is mounting an information recording medium 10 recording the quality information of ink. A reading/recognizing section 12 reads out and recognizes the quality information of ink from the information recording medium 10, and a setting control section 14 sets image forming conditions based on the quality information read out at the reading/recognizing section 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
