PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FM multiplex broadcast receiver capable of switching and receiving FM multiplex data included in the broadcast waves of different reception frequencies. SOLUTION: This FM multiplex broadcast receiver 1 is provided with a front end 12, an intermediate amplification/FM detection circuit 14, a filter circuit 16, an LMSK demodulation circuit 18, an error detection and correction circuit 22, memories 23 and 26, a CPU 24 and a tuning circuit 30 so as to receive FM multiplex broadcast and obtain VICS(vehicle information communications system) data or DGPS(differential global positioning system) data. The CPU 24 holds the reception timing of the leading bit of the DGPS data and directly reads the respective bits of the DGPS data without using a DARC decoder 17 operated after synchronization is attained by a synchronization circuit 20. Thus, the synchronization circuit 20 is in the state of establishing the synchronization for the VICS data at all times, the need of establishing the synchronization every time reception data are switched is eliminated and the omission of data generated during synchronization detection is eliminated. |
