摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image by controlling the temperature of an image pickup panel. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 54 is mounted on an image pickup panel 41 which produces and outputs image data in accordance with the intensity of emitted radiation, to detect the temperature of the panel 41 with a temperature control circuit 56 using a signal TS from the sensor 54 and control the temperature of the panel 41 to be within a given temperature range with a temperature variable element 55. When the temperature of the panel 41 is detected to be within the given temperature range with a temperature control circuit 56, an alarm signal ARM is output and an alarm is issued in accordance with the signal ARM. When a switch 57 is in an off-state, power is supplied from a battery 60 to a temperature control power source 59 so that the temperature of the panel 41 can be is within the given temperature range, independently of the operation of a radiation image reader 40, to prevent the deterioration of the panel 41 and provide a good radiation image.
