PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the C/N, the erasing ratio, the degree of modulation, the recording sensitivity and the repeated record erasing characteristic of a light recording medium, used at a relative speed of 3-5 m/s upon erasing the record of a recording layer for light beams. SOLUTION: The recording layer 4 of a light recording medium 1 is formed of a chalcopyrite type compounds shown by α, β, γ, δ respectively and whose composition ratio of Au, In, Sb and Te are 0 atom.%<=α<=22 atom.%, 4 atom.%<=β<=18 atom.%, 33 atom.%<=γ<=62 atom.%, 26 atom.%<=δ<=42 atom.%, provided, 99 atom.%<=α+β+γ+δ<=100 atom.%. |
