PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a light transmissive protective film with a pressure sensitive adhesive for an optical recording medium having excellent scratch resistance, weather resistance, a low double refractive index and the like and useful as an optical film and to provide the optical recording medium.

SOLUTION: After an acrylic radiation curing type pressure sensitive adhesive composition is applied on one surface of a release sheet and an acrylic radiation curing type paint composition is applied thereon, both compositions are cured by radiation irradiation to form a transparent film layer and a transparent pressure sensitive adhesive layer integrally with each other.
