PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a fault analysis result message by automatically deciding the cause of a fault. SOLUTION: (1) A fault analysis definition information table OAT wherein fault analysis definition information on related autonomous messages generated owing to a fault is linked in the generation order of the messages and a fault analysis result table ART which holds detailed fault analysis results are provided and (2) if one message xxxx is generated owing to the fault, it is checked whether or not there is a next message yyyy linked with the message xxxx by referring to the fault analysis definition information table OAT; when the message is present, the generation of the next message is monitored and once the generation is detected, the generation of a next message zzzz which is linked in order is monitored. Then when the final message zzzz having no following message is generated, the fault analysis result of the final message is found in the fault analysis result table ART and outputted.
