UNIT AND METHOD FOR INSTRUCTION CONTROL USING MICROPROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the instruction control unit which controls instructions by a microprogram by storing the microprogram which controls flows, holding control information in the microprogram by the flows, and controlling the respective flows by using the control information. SOLUTION: Instructions controlled by the microprogram stored in a storage means 1 include >=1 flow corresponding to >=1 pipeline operation. A control reservation station means 2 temporarily hold the control information in the microprogram corresponding to the respective flows and outputs the control information in proper timing to a controlled system such as an E unit to control the operations of the respective flows. A data buffer means 3 temporarily holds data used to control the respective flows and outputs the data in proper timing to the controlled system. The instruction control by the microprogram is therefore enabled.
