PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily load sheets and avoid the positional dispersion of the sheets. SOLUTION: A sheet storage device includes a sheet loading means 204 for loading sheets S, a pair of sheet restricting members 217, 232 opposed to each other at both sides of the sheet loading means so as to be movable close to or away from each other for aligning the sheets S held therebetween, a protrusion 235 provided under one restricting member 232 out of the pair of restricting members to as to be protruded from the inner face of one restricting member to the side of the other restricting member 217, and a sheet drawing member 236 provided above the protrusion of one restricting member having the protrusion so as to energize the loaded sheets toward the other restricting member.
