PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material for a joint, which can enhance the building workability of external wall panels for a house, and the cut-off performance of a cruciform portion and in the vicinity of a longitudinal joint lower end. SOLUTION: The sealing material 10 for the longitudinal joint lower end is comprised of a blocking portion 11 and a spacer portion 17. The blocking portion 11 is formed of a bottom portion 12 which blocks an end face of the longitudinal joint lower end LVJ, and a wall portion 15 which blocks a rear surface of the longitudinal joint lower end LVJ, and portions are connected together in one body like the el. The spacer portion 17 is formed of a base portion 18 extending along a lower surface of the bottom portion 12, and a plate spring portion 21 extending from the base portion 18 along a rear surface of the wall portion 15, and the portions are connected together in one body like the el. As a result, the sealing material does not depend on a shapeless caulking material C, and the end face and the rear surface of the longitudinal joint lower end LVJ are easily and positively sealed by the blocking portion 11. Further, the pressure contact degree of the blocking portion 11 with respect to the end face of the longitudinal joint lower end LVJ can be increased by the spacer portion 17.
