PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which sufficiently reduces vibration and noise. SOLUTION: A motor generator 11 is equipped with a case 21, a stator 31, and a cover 24. For the case 21 along with a center shaft 101, an opening 22 is made on one side in a direction where the center shaft 101 extends. The stator 31 has a stator core 32 fixed in the case 21 and a coil 35 wound on the stator core 32. The cover 24 is so attached to the case 21 as to block the opening 22. The coil 35 includes a coil end 35m which projects from the stator core 32, in a position facing the cover 24, and a coil end 35n which projects from the stator core 32, on the opposite side of the stator core 32 from the coil end 35m.
