A pedal bin is provided to prevent separation of a lid due to strong wind when the lid is opened by a catching member and a catching rod. A pedal bin includes a body, a lid, a catching member(30), a frame(40), a shaft(50), first and second links(60,70), and a catching rod(80). The body includes a waste containing area and a stepped portion on an edge thereof. The lid is formed on a top of the body. The catching member is installed under the lid and includes a receiving portion. The frame is installed on both sides below the body. The shaft includes a push member(51). The push member rotates by push of a foot. The first link is installed in the shaft. The second link passes through the stepped portion and is rotatably installed on the first link. The catching rod is formed on an upper part of the second link and is partially received ion the receiving portion. |
