<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance the presentation effect of the variable display of a plurality of symbols in a pinball game machine. <P>SOLUTION: A winning/failure lottery means executes a lottery for determining the shift to a special game state with the entrance of a game ball into a starting hole as the initiator.
