<p>A novel process is described for the preparation of the active principle pantoprazole based on the use of novel intermediate compounds of general formula (I) where X is an atom of halogen and n = 0 or 1, so that when n = 1, the intermediate compounds are methoxylated, and when n = 0 said intermediate compounds are first oxidized to n = 1 and thereafter are methoxylated. Also described are the novel intermediates, as well as the process for the preparation thereof.</p> |
