PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new platinum-another metal-complex nanomicroparticle usable as a catalyst for a fuel cell which is supposed to be an alternative for a conventional bulk platinum catalyst, and to provide a catalyst for a fuel cell, and to provide a new phenyl azomethine dendrimer metal complex as a precursor of the above catalyst. SOLUTION: The new platinum-another metal-complex nanomicroparticle is provided, which is produced by preparing a metal complex of formula (I), followed by reducing the metal complex. In the formula (I), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each an organic group or the like; M is a combination of a platinum atom and an another metal atom, both of them being present; m is a generation number of the dendrimer; and n is the junction number of dendron moieties to R<SP>1</SP>.
