<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sauna apparatus for retaining the atmosphere at low temperature and high humidity while the sauna apparatus is properly ventilated in operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sauna apparatus comprises a heating means 9 for heating water of a water storage part 6, water crushing means 22, 24, 29 for crushing warm water stored in the water storage part 6 and forming fine water droplets and negative ions, an air blower 35 for supplying the formed fine water droplets and negative ions into the sauna room 2, and a ventilation means 47 for ventilating the inside of the sauna room 2, and the sauna is operated to supply the fine water droplets and negative ions into the sauna room 2 and control the heating means 9 in order to keep the temperature in the sauna room 2 at the predetermined temperature, and the ventilation means 47 turns on electricity within a given period of time and the sauna room 2 is ventilated inside in operation of the sauna, and then the sauna room 2 is ventilated inside occasionally and fresh air can be taken in the sauna room 2, and the inside atmosphere of the sauna room 2 can be held at low temperature and high humidity, especially 90% or more of humidity, thus sufficiently taking a comfortable sauna bath.
