<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertebra transplantation assembly transplanted in an intervertebral space between adjacent vertebrae which simultaneously brings stabilization, continuous flexibility and suitable anatomical movement. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An intervertebral device includes a first plate 10 having an outer face 12 and an inner face 18, and a second plate 30 juxtaposed with the first plate and having an outer face 32 and an inner face 34 opposing the first plate 10. This device includes a ball/socket articulating point provided between the first and second plates, and an elastic member 60 in contact with the ball part of the ball/socket articulating joint for counteracting compressive loads on the plate, the elastic member being surrounded by the socket part of the articulating joint. Also, in this device, a hole 26 is provided in the inner face of the first plate, and an elongated member 50 freely slidably connected to the hole is provided in the ball part of the articulating joint.
