<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase output processing efficiency of a printer while reducing a running cost by avoiding transmission of unnecessary color print data. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver 3 comprises a verifying part 21 for verifying whether a printing instruction has a color output authority based on a password established on a user terminal side 1; and a print data transmission processing part 23 that, when the printing instruction has proved not to have a color output authority as the result of verification at the verifying part, converts the print data to monochrome data at a color to monochrome conversion part 22, and executes transmission processing for a color printer 4 to which the data is output. Furthermore, the printer driver comprises a color and monochrome decision part 25 for deciding whether the print data are of color or monochrome, and rejects transmission of the print data to the color printer when the printing instruction has a color output authority and print data are of monochrome. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
