<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell plant which can be economically operated by quickly responding to an increase and decrease of power demand. <P>SOLUTION: When an operation-stop order is instructed or at a partial-load operation, at least one cell unit is operated and cell units not operating are warmed up with exhaust gas from the operating cell supplied to fuel electrodes of the cell units not operating. By the above, the fuel cell plant can respond to a frequent start and stop, and the fuel electrode is prevented from oxidation since the exhaust gas for warming-up also serves as purge gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
