The present invention relates to a sterilization and disinfection system applied in an open space. More specifically, the sterilization and disinfection system applied in an open space comprises: a sterilizing lighting unit comprising an LED assembly which consists of a UV-A LED in the wavelength range of ultraviolet A and a UV-B LED in the wavelength range of ultraviolet B and is installed in an open indoor space, and allowing each LED to be individually turned on/off; a sensing unit which is installed in the indoor space equipped with the sterilizing lighting unit and comprises a humidity sensing part to sense the humidity in the indoor space, a light sensing part to measure the brightness in the indoor space, or a human body sensing part to sense the motion of the human body in the indoor space; and a control unit determining the flickering and lighting maintaining time of each LED. According to the present invention, a sterilization and disinfection process is not performed in a closed space, and various objects can be sterilized and disinfected in an open space by natural light using ultraviolet A (UV-A) and ultraviolet B (UV-B). Accordingly, an object to be sterilized covers a greatly wide range. In addition, the irradiation time of each ultraviolet LED and the intensity of applied light are controlled according to properties of an open space such as a bathroom, a kitchen, a bedroom, a porch, etc. so a high sterilizing effect is secured. Furthermore, ultraviolet rays are applied for a long period of time without being directly exposed to the human body, thereby securing greatly high sterilization and disinfection reliability without damaging a user. |
