PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug whose vibration resistance can be increased by reliably holding a center shaft in a shaft hole of a main fitting.SOLUTION: A front body part 36 of a center shaft 3 has an outer diameter smaller than that of a rear body part 37. A close contact member 9 is press-fitted and disposed between an inner circumferential surface of a shaft hole 43 of a main fitting 4 and an outer circumferential surface of the rear body part 37 of the center shaft 3. The location of the close contact member 9 includes a boundary (A) between the front body part 36 and the rear body part 37. The close contact member 9 is in close contact with the inner circumferential surface of the shaft hole 43 and with the outer circumferential surface of the rear body part 37 and firmly holds the center shaft 3. Even when the center shaft 3 swings by an external vibration, the rear body part 37 can be firmly held in the shaft hole 43 since the close contact member 9 is in close contact with the shaft hole 43 and with the rear body part 37. Thereby, the close contact member 9 reliably holds the center shaft 3 near the boundary (A) and suppresses swinging caused by vibration. |
