PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration method of a NOx selective reduction catalyst capable of deteriorating the NOx selective reduction catalyst at a low cost and in a short time.SOLUTION: A deterioration method of a NOx selective reduction catalyst is a method for deteriorating the NOx selective reduction catalyst 5 selectively reducing NOx in the exhaust of an internal combustion engine 2 and characterized by including a phosphorus poisoning step making the NOx selective reduction catalyst 5 phosphorus poisoning by using a solution 20 containing phosphoric acid. The NOx selective reduction catalyst can be deteriorated at a low cost and in a short time by the deterioration method of the NOx selective reduction catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
