PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having a face part capable of retaining a sufficient strength while enabling a high repulsion performance, and a golf club.SOLUTION: The face part 7a of a golf club head of a golf club according to the invention is formed, at the central part of the rear face thereof, with a circular central thick part 20 of a generally circular shape thicker than the peripheral part.
