PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a technology enabling counting of the number of rotations of a developing roller without arranging a dedicated rotation counter.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor; a motor; a driving part that drives the motor; a developing part including a developing roller that is rotated by a driving force output from the motor and develops an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor; a storage part; and a control part. The control part counts the number of rotations of the developing roller on the basis of a control signal corresponding to the number of rotations of the motor, the control signal provided from the motor to the driving part or provided from the driving part to the motor, and stores an accumulated value of the counted number of rotations of the developing roller in the storage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
