PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical oxygen sensor in which a desired sensitivity to oxygen can be obtained and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An optical oxygen sensor 1 comprises: a laminate 3 formed such that a covering 6 of a polyion and a porous body layer 8 which is composed of a porous body 7 having electric charge opposite to that of the polyion are alternately stacked on a tip end of an optical fiber 2; and an oxygen-sensitive fluorescent substance that is held and fixed in the porous body layer 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
