PURPOSE:To prevent the increase of the electrostatic force of developer on a developer carrier to prevent the reduction of the image density by not driving a developing device except at the time of development of a latent image on an image carrier in the case of multiple copy or both sides copy. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 11 of an image forming device provided with both sides or multiple image forming function which forms a latent image on an image carrier 10 and develops it by the developing device 11 to obtain an apparent image and transfers the apparent image on the image carrier 10 both sides of a transfer material S or transfers it over on one side of the transfer material S is provided with a developer carrier 11' which carries the developer for development of the latent image on the image carrier 10 toward the image carrier 10. Driving of the developer carrier 11' is stopped except at the time of development and for a prescribed time before and after development. Thus, the increase of the electrostatic force of developer and the reduction of the image density are prevented to always obtain a picture of high quality. |
