PURPOSE:To generate a sound which is rich in variation by moving an electromagnetic exciter to an optional lengthwise position of a string and applying an induced magnetic field to a string in a constant vibration state. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic exciter 20 is provided between the string 1 and a sound board 5 closely to the string 1 while enabled to freely move lengthwise, and the exciter 20 can be moved through a moving mechanism 23 provided almost in parallel to the string 1. Thus, the exciter 20 applies the induced magnetic field of specific frequency to the string which vibrates to emphasize or weaken a specific harmonic component included in the string and also vary the timbre after the vibration. Further, the electromagnetic exciter 20 can be moved by the moving mechanism in the lengthwise direction of the string closely to the string, so the operation is performed for the optional harmonic component. Consequently, the string vibration is given variation after the sound generation to vary the timbre. |
