An enteral delivery universal port assembly fabricated from a first portion (13) and a second portion (14) of different materials. The first portion (13) has a generally cylindrical side wall (15), an annular top surface (25) and a corresponding annular bottom surface. The second portion (14) has a central portion (35) with a peripheral flange (47) extending radially outward therefrom, and an annular portion (40) positionable in superposed adjacent relationship to the annular bottom surface of the first portion (13). Extending upwardly from the surface (45) of the central portion (35) are first and second projections (55, 58), the first projection (55) having a base which is a spikable membrane (60) and the second projection (58) being associated with filter means (68) which allow air to enter the enteral nutritional product container to which the enteral delivery universal port assembly is secured in its operative embodiment. |
