PURPOSE:To receive a control valve unit in a narrow space in the vertical direction of a transmission by forming a recessed part for receiving valve body in one part of a transmission case, and directly fitting the almost half part of a lower valve body to the case. CONSTITUTION:High pressure oil is supplied from an oil pump as an oil pressure source to a lower valve body 72 through the inlet port of a case 100, and the pressure is adjusted by means of a pressure regulator valve 84 into the line pressure. This line pressure is supplied to a power transmission mechanism 60 in an upper chamber 110a through the line pressure oil passage of the case 100 and the like. At this time, because an upper valve body 74 is provided with only a low pressure valve and not provided with a high pressure valve, the upper valve body 74 can be formed into a small size. Consequently, the upper valve body 74 can be received in a recessed part 110b adjacent to a passage formed part 100a. Hereby, the ground clearance at loading it on a vehicle can be sufficiently insured.
