A conic fluid bearing includes a bush 25 fixed to a rotary body and on the upper and lower portions of which conic cavities 28, 28', are opposingly formed; a spacer 26; and upper and lower cones 23, 24, fitted on a shaft 31 fixed to a fixed body. One or more of the bearing surfaces may be coated with titanium, and grooves may be defined between further spaced coatings of diamond-like carbon material. The bearing may be used in a spindle motor 42 for a hard disk drive, a laser printer drive motor, or a VCR head drum. |
