Wall anchorage point shaft has transverse ridges expanding winglets on outer sheath

A wall anchorage point is push-fitted to a pre-drilled hole in a building block. The anchorage consists of a shaft (10) surrounded by a secondary e.g. PTFE plastic sheath incorporating a number of small wing-like elements. The shaft bears a number of ridge-like transverse projections. Following insertion of shaft and sheath in the receiving hole, attempted withdrawal of the fixture (14) or shaft pulls the ridges under the wing-like elements which are forced outwards, enhancing the grip of the fixture within the wall.
