The mounting for a plastics component (1) to a vehicle has a section (3) of the component (1) of a hard and one-piece plastics material where the mounting fittings (5) are to be located, of the same plastics as the component (1) itself. They are surrounded by a soft and elastic plastics material (7), of the same plastics as the component (1) and in one piece with it. The hard and the soft elastic plastics sections are formed in one piece with the component (1).
