PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound excellent in fastness, in particular light resistance, and useful as a dye. SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by the formula B=D-A [A is a pyrazine ring bearing NR1 R2 (R1 and R2 are each H or the like) as substituent; B is a coupler component; D is nitrogen or CH], e.g. a compound of formula I. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction between a compound of formula II and a compound of formula III in the presence of sodium peroxosulfate and potassium carbonate. The 2nd objective thermotransferring material is obtained by, pref. providing a substrate with a dye-contg. layer comprising the above compound of the formula B=D-A (dye) and a binder (e.g. an acrylic resin), and the other objective ink jet printing liquid is obtained by making the printing liquid include the above-mentioned dye pref. 0.1-25 wt.%. |
