PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an electronic program guide(EPG) without using a screen of a television receiver. SOLUTION: A TV microcomputer 22 receives EPG data from an EPG database engine 25 in the case of conducting EPG display. A TV microcomputer 22 supplies the extracted EPG data k1 to a transmitter 23. The transmitter 23 converts the EPG data k1 into an EPG data signal m1 and sends the signal to a remote control transmitter 10. On the other hand, a receiver 14 of the remote control transmitter 10 receives the EPG data signal m1 from a television receiver 20 and converts the signal into an EPG data electric signal n1 and gives the converted signal to a remote control microcomputer 12. The remote control microcomputer 12 generates a video signal for an EPG menu from the EPG data signal m1 and displays the video signal on a liquid crystal display panel 15. |
