PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct torsion of a wire drawn from the wound state to smoothen each work in after process and to improve the quality of product by consisting a nipping and fixing means for nipping and fixing the middle portion of a wire in the stretched state held by a holding means, in such a manner as to be rotatable about the wire in the state fixing the wire. SOLUTION: A wire W is inserted through a wire guide 6, and a rod 4 is protruded by a cylinder 3 to pressure contacted and fix the wire W to a wire fixing base 5 in two upper and lower points of a fixing base 2 on a support plate 1. A rod 40 is made to retreat by a cylinder 30 to move jaws in the mutually contact direction to fix the wire W, and a pulley 11 is rotated in this state to rotate a transfer belt 12, and the wire W is thus rotated by a prescribed quantity. Similarly, the wire is rotated in the reverse direction by a prescribed quantity to hold the wire W in the stretched state, and the torsion or curling of the wire W is corrected by this work. The corrected wire W is cut into prescribed lengths in subsequent processes, and successively subjected to stripping treatment.
