PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a rubber molding (solid or foamed) suitable for a weather strip and others by extrusion. SOLUTION: A method for producing a rubber molding by extrusion comprises a process for extruding a resin such as a polymethyl pentene resin with which the periphery of rubber incorporated with an organic peroxide as a vulcanizing agent is coated, a process for fixing the shape of the resin by cooling (sizing) a process for sulfurless vulcanization, and a process for stripping off the coating resin part of an outer layer. Owing to improved surface smoothness, good dimensional precision of a cross-sectional shape, and good shape holding properties, burrs necessary in the extrusion molding of a rubber product having a complex shape such as a weather strip are made unnecessary.
