PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain coating apparatus equipped with a dry edge forming apparatus suitable for high speed coating. SOLUTION: This curtain coating apparatus is provided with a water application apparatus facing to the rear side of both end parts of a web in an upstream part of a coater head part, which is a constituent element of the curtain coating apparatus itself. It is preferable to install a drier part for drying water given by the water application apparatus between the water application apparatus and the coater head part and also to have an atomizing nozzle as the water application apparatus.
