PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute washing of a rotary tape drum screen for solid-liquid separation even with a small-capacity pump by providing the above device with washing nozzles for injecting a high-pressure washing liquid toward the outer peripheral surface of the drum screen and moving this washing nozzle in an axial direction at the time of washing the drum screen. SOLUTION: When washing, the drum screen 1 is first rotated and the fouling degrees of the various parts of the drum screen 1 are detected by fouling detectors. The nozzle moving speeds of the respective regions meeting the fouling degrees of the respective sections are set by pattern setting means in accordance with the results of the detection. The set speed change patterns are imparted to a control means which activates a stepping motor according to these patterns. While the washing drums 27 are moved toward the axial direction of the drum via an internal thread member 25 screwed to a screen feed shaft 23, the high-pressure washing liquid is injected therefrom to wash the respective sections in the axial direction of the drum screen 1.
