PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to effectively carry out washing of a perforated wall of a cylindrical body and to execute stable thickening and separating by disposing supply sections for a suspension and a flocculating agent separately or as an integral mixture supply section into a tank, freely rotatably disposing rotary vanes at the lower part in the tank and freely rotatably providing the upper part in the tank with the cylindrical body. SOLUTION: The suspension is supplied from a suspension supply pipe 13 and the organic high-polymer flocculating agent from a flocculating agent injection pipe 14 to the lower part in the tank 12, where swirling flow is imparted by the rotation of the rotary vanes and both are mixed and reacted. The formed floc is granulated by repeating ascending among a draft tube 18, the lower part tank wall and the cylindrical body 20, then descending the inside of the draft tube 18 from the top end of the draft tube 18. While the liquid near the cylindrical body 20 further ascends, the liquid partly penetrate the perforated wall and only the clean liquid accumulates in a liquid reservoir 22. The separated liquid is discharged from a separated liquid outflow pipe 25 to the outside of the tank 12 and on the other hand, the granules in the tank 12 are discharged to the outside of the tank 12 through a granule outflow pipe 26.
