PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for water culture by which the performance of a filter membrane is maintained for a long period of time by suppressing the clogging of the filter membrane for disinfection in the recycling of a nutritious liquid, and also the control of component composition of the nutritious liquid is facilitated to improve the stability of the culture. SOLUTION: Fine particles and ions unnecessary for the nutritious liquid are previously removed from raw water by a service water-purifying device 16 to reduce the fine particles which cause the clogging of the hollow fiber membrane filter device 44 for disinfection, and the ions which make the control of the component composition of the nutritious liquid difficult, in the nutritious liquid itself in the recycling of the nutritious liquid. As a result, the occurrence of the clogging of the hollow fiber membrane filter device 44 is suppressed to maintain the performance for a long period and the control of the component composition of the nutritious liquid is facilitated to improve the stability of the culture. |
