PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat release of a motor driving means, particularly a field effect transistor in a rear wheel steering device for preventing the motor driving means from becoming very hot. SOLUTION: A CPU 40 is provided with a temperature estimating part 48 estimating a motor temperature on the basis of a motor current IM fed from a motor current detecting means 70. It is also provided with a dead zone setting part 49 setting a dead zone of the motor current with respect to a deviation of a target steering angle θr and a first actual steering angle θR1 on the basis of an estimated temperature SO fed from a temperature detecting part 48. The dead zone setting part 49 sets the dead zone of the motor current with respect to the deviation of the target steering angle and the actual steering angle larger as the estimated temperature SO rises.
