PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser trigger type gap switch, capable of selecting an irradiation electrode by simply changing-over an optical system, and conducting continuous switching operation. SOLUTION: In this laser trigger type gap switch, at least two sets of electrodes to be faced inside a sealed container are arranged, and the electrode for irradiating by separating light into spectral components with a dichroic mirror is selected.
