PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication unit that facilitates function confirmation and a setting revision operation and to enhance the operation efficiency thereby realizing response of operations in accordance with the skill level of the operations. SOLUTION: A rotating input detection section 8, receiving control information entered from a rotary volume control 7, detects the change quantity and the changing direction of the control information and informs a control section 4 about the increased/decreased amount. The control section 4 analyzes the state of a function item of a number changed by the increased/decreased amount, with respect to a function item displayed at present and allows display section 5 to display the result of analysis. By providing an input means, consisting of the rotary volume control 7 in this way, confirmation of a setting state of each function conducted by an operator can be easily displayed in both the forward and the backward directions and the operator can display each function and revise the setting value at an arbitrary speed. Furthermore, in the case of providing a setting switch 2 coaxially to the rotary volume control 7, the operator can conduct function confirmation and setting value revision operations continuously.
