PURPOSE: A hood for cooking is provided to prevent the performance reduction of a motor and a fan by restricting the motor and the fan from directly contacting with smoke containing oil. CONSTITUTION: In a hood for cooking, a motor(3) and a fan(4) are assembled in an air intake pipe(9) connected to an air passage(6). An exhaust pipe(13) is coupled at the upper part of a venturi tube(14) linked with the air passage and a smoke suction port(7) installed at a smoke collecting can(5), assembled on a middle partition(12), and received in a case(2). The motor and the fan are installed outside the case in case of need. The exhaust pipe is fixed on an outer wall without the case and one side is connected with the venturi tube. The motor and the fan are mounted in an air pipe.
