PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize smooth presentation by displaying also a picture just before the changeover of the presentation thereby enabling a viewer to ruminate the flow of a speech even in the middle of the presentation. SOLUTION: In presentation environment where still pictures are used in a liquid crystal projector having a picture signal input part and a picture signal output part, when an input picture signal is changed over, a liquid crystal display device in a main body displays the newest picture which has been inputted and a picture signal output part outputs a display picture just before the changeover by detecting the changeover of a picture.
