<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double retractable applicator, which has a highly durable clip 15 or causes no breakage of the clip 15 and which can be used for a long period of time and, in addition, has a favorable operational feeling under the condition that the applicator has a safety mechanism that a refill 11 is retracted into a main body by lifting up the clip 15. <P>SOLUTION: When the extension and retraction of the refill 11 are performed by repeatedly depressing an operational member 14, a rotor 13 reciprocates on the longer axis of the applicator 1. The rotor 13 is provided with radially projecting contact pieces and cam-profiled projections, each of which has a component inclined in an axial direction and projects towards the operating member 14 side. The cam-profiled projections generate a torque, which directs the rotor 13 to a neutral position as the predetermined rotational position, in the rotor 13 by engaging with the abutting part of the operating member 14, resulting in revolving the rotor 13. Further, at the unloading of the operating member 14 after being depressed, the rotor 13 revolves through the guidance of the contact pieces by lateral guiding walls provided on a barrel 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
