<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can select full-color display or black-and- white display. <P>SOLUTION: The projector comprises a light source, a color wheel which receives the light from the light source and converts it into light beams having wavelengths of R, G and B, a DMD which modulates the light beams from the color wheel, a projection means which projects the modulated light beams, and a moving mechanism which moves the color wheel 70.
