<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which the speed for printing an image onto a print medium is not required to be lowered. <P>SOLUTION: Heaters in a thermal head are divided into a plurality of on dot groups such that an on dot is included in each group. In a part of on dot groups (G<SB>n1</SB>, G<SB>n2</SB>), heaters included therein are conducted under a state where a tape carrying motor is driven (shown by a solid line in fig. 3(a)). In the remaining on dot groups (G<SB>n3</SB>, G<SB>n4</SB>, G<SB>n5</SB>), heaters included therein are conducted under a state where the tape carrying motor is not driven (shown by a dot line in fig. 3(a)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
